Prezi is a website for which anyone can create an account and create interactive presentations. Prezi differs from Microsoft PowerPoint as in the slides are present in one page. For my project, I created a brief presentation on Christopher Columbus and his discovery.

Data collection can be used for every teacher, regardless of
subject area and grade level. The system can be used to input information
regarding attendance, grades, evaluations, etc. As a World Geology for 6th
graders, the teacher can use this information to input their students grade and
attendance. Even though there are many software’s that is more user friendly
than excel, a school might not have the enough funding. With that being said,
Excel is a great alternative.
I did enjoy reading my classmates blogs since some were very
similar while some were different. For instance, one of my classmates mentioned
how storia is a great E-book website. She
goes into depth of how it’s beneficial to young students and teachers. In
addition, I was intrigued when I realized she did not enjoy podcasts, because I
thought I was the only one. For her privacy, I did not mention her name.
Regarding with technology, I would like to become familiar
with Microsoft software, besides Word, Powerpoint, and Excel. Even though I am
not sure if I will use it frequently in my college years, I know that having
background in this field will make my job as a teacher smoother.

The flipped classroom strategy is
when teachers prerecord themselves lecturing materials and assigns the video
has homework. I believe this strategy is helpful because students will know
what will be discussed in the classroom. However, I doubt that kids will pay attention
to the videos once they are in their home. Click here
to access a website with numerous options for creating a flipped classroom
video.
Open educational resources are free
materials provided by an institution for learning purposes. Anyone can have
access to the material, even if they are not a student, for the experience. A
website that any school can provide material is on OER commons (click here for link). Unlike universities, who
can afford a private open educational website, any teacher can use this
website.
I personally enjoyed creating the PowerPoint for Information
Dissemination assignment. In the
classroom, I was always curious as to how my teachers created the jeopardy game
they created. I liked how this form of PowerPoint feels like a game, rather
than a lecture. The information dissemination could be used to test my students’
materials that we have been reviewing in the classroom.
